The yuccas almost look like they're growing out of the plane - reaching toward the sky where the plane once flew...with the mountains in the distance & the cactus growing around the plane I get a feeling of desertion & nostalgia - however, it's combined with a sense of peacefulness...I guess simply put it's all about "balance" - past and present, near and far, etc. - an excellent photo.
I could pilot this helecopter as it has been sitting pretty much where it is for the last 25 years. There's a place out here in the desert where they "pickle" old aircraft. It's a wild place but civilians can't get near it. This is in the salvage yard across the highway. On the "pickle" side there are literally thousands of aircraft, from Korean war vintage thru the present. Used to be that yo could drive between the planes (well, 40 years ago you could).
Interesting, it should be a wonderful place to shoot, if you could still get there. I saw on the Smithsonian Magazine some abstract photos made of airplane parts. That place should be quite perfect for such an exercise.

Great tones and colors -- very much reminds me of the desert.
Impressive! Too bad it is not flying anymore!
